- Diplo (3x Grammy Winner)

"Travis Raab... that's my guitar playing sensei. I love him, he's great. I used to not even know how to hold a guitar, now I basically shred. So Travis, you're the best!"

What's great about virtual guitar lessons with Travis?

A Zoom lesson is like a regular guitar lesson, only better! There are some huge benefits. Having 2 computers directly in front of both the student and the teacher supercharges the learning experience. I can instantly deliver backing tracks, drum tracks, chord charts and more. Virtual lessons are extremely efficient.

Why do students prefer zoom lessons?

The world of education has now fully embraced online learning, and students have seen the overwhelming benefits of virtual music lessons. Online lessons save time and eliminate travel. Parents are able to take a lesson while they're home watching their kids, and kids can study with the best available instructors regardless of their location.

Are Virtual Guitar lessons as good as in-person lessons?

The best guitar lessons are given by the best teachers, regardless of the medium. Technology allows people to learn from the best teachers in the world regardless of their location. Online guitar classes are convenient and very effective. This is a great option for people who aren't satisfied with their local options for music instruction, or those who want the very best instruction possible. I've been offering private instruction online for years. A private virtual guitar class can be a great gift.

What makes Travis the best online guitar teacher?

Long before Covid, I've been teaching online guitar students around the world via Facetime and Skype. I've taught hundreds of students in over 15 years, and I have over a decade of touring and recording experience working with some of the world's best musicians. My tours, clients, and recording credits include: Diplo, Kyle Richards, Kat McPhee, Andrew McMahon (Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin), Sean Kingston, 'Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase', commercials for Pedigree, Remington, AAA.

Wait. Do guitar students honestly prefer zoom lessons?

Yes! The overwhelming majority of students prefer zoom - once they've given it a chance! Students who initially refuse to try zoom lessons (and insist on in-person lessons) almost always become zoom converts, and then insist on zoom lesson! Virtual lessons are simply more productive and more convenient. In fact, I often teaches students who are just a few blocks away, but they prefer having their materials on their computer, and feel they can learn better via zoom than in person.

What's the difference between Zoom, Facetime, Hangouts?

They all mean the same thing: A virtual guitar lesson with a real live instructor. This means a private 1-on-1 lesson with Travis, your guitar coach. Zoom, Google Duo, Facetime, Skype, and others are similar chat services with audio and video streaming. All you need is a phone, a tablet, or a laptop, and an interest in learning guitar! Your zoom link is automatically generated when you book. The process is easy. Read this blog all about how to have a great first zoom lesson!

“Travis Raab first off is a great guitar player and a guy that I could just listen to play some kick ass lead guitar. Which is why I take lessons from him. He doesn’t get over complicated and will have you playing guitar like we all dream we can. Check out his site and decide for yourself but trust me you won’t go wrong..” -Bill Engvall (Comedian)
